    1 - Payment missed
2 - Council write and ask you to pay
3 - If you fail to pay they remove the right to pay by instalment and all the outstanding is due immediately.
4 - If you again fail to pay the Council will say they are applying for a Liability Order - usually incurs a cost
5 - If you again do not pay then Council will go ahead with application for LO - usually granted & incurs a cost
6 - They should write saying they have a LO and if you don't cough wihin 14 days they will hand it on for enforcement
7 - Enforcement then ensues in whatever form they decide.

            (Living & learning - cheers, pt )

I've removed the contents of the post - my school reports often mentioned the fact that I 'could do better'

              Blimey - draconian or what!

              Two strikes & you're out!
Only one reminder for that year, then (possibly) porridge!

s23 - "(3) If, within the period of 7 days beginning with the day on which a reminder notice is issued,..............."

Let's hope 'posty' gets the right address
