  • bristow & sutor bailiffs - help needed

I have two issues that need sorting. firstly ill start with a parking ticket I received last year and didn't pay due to a financial situation, anyway as time went by the pcn went up to £105, £70 plus 50% of the original pcn, it then got passed over to Bristow & Sutor to handle and they sent out a letter which if correct should have bumped the cost to £123.44, break it down £105 pcn plus £5 court fee plus £11.20 letter plus vat £13.44 total £123.44, anyway my letter I receive says I have 7 days to pay the sum of £334.24 so that's a £229.24 jump from what was £105 for what? I don't know. last week comes and 2 bailiffs knock on my door and I don't answer, they post an envelope through the door containing what they are charging me which bumped the cost to £519.05, this is a charge of £76.81 for his visit plus £90 for 2 men and a van plus vat £18 total visit charge £184.81. now that's out the way I can get to the point, correct me where im wrong but the charge from research should stand at £123.44 leaving a staggering £395.61 in charges but anyway from researched I stumbled upon some info that stated if the bailiffs were not able to levy on your goods then they could not charge you for a visit, is this correct, what letters would you advice on sending to them as I don't really want a breakdown of costs or would this letter be your first step and wait for a reply followed by Rights & Your Refusal of Peaceful Entry by Bailiffs from this site http://www.consumerwiki.co.uk/index....mplate_Letters stating that I will pay the sum of £123.44 adding in a note to looks at the supplied example letter http://www.dealingwithbailiffs.co.uk/examplepcnfee.htm.

second issue. another pcn from last year which was paid off in full after a bailiff caught me out cleaning my car outside and asked if it was mine and I replied no its my dads im cleaning it for him, anyway he doesn't know what to say and hands me an envelope, I open it and shat bricks not knowing anything I do now, paid the fine in full, £314.44, same as above cost was £70 plus 50% £105 plus £5 court fee plus letter from Bristow & sutor £123.44 from my working outs, charged £108 for man and vehicle total £231.44 plus his visit charge £52.80 totals £284.24 leaves £30.20 unknown charge, no levy on any goods means no charge but I got charged, what form do I use to claim back the money from that which should be £191 if my working outs are correct and also if they are can I get him done for fraud from what I read from research?

Have to go out for a couple of hours, but will be back later and respond. Meanwhile, click bailiff tab at top of page and read relevant part of sticky on Parking Offences. I think from a cursory glance Letter 1 from Useful Letters stick may be needed as well. Will look properly on my return.

Re: bristow & sutor bailiffs - help needed

You can begin to get this sorted tomorrow by sending Letter 1 from here:

              http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...Useful-Letters

I don't understand why you don't want a breakdown of fees when that is what much of your post complains about.

You also need to read the link I posted earlier, if you haven't already, and follow the advice for PCN's.

As for dealingwithbailiffs.co.uk , I suggest strongly you make a choice before you embark on any particular course as the two sites will take very different approaches indeed. The fact that I post here shows where I think you should go, but it has to be your choice. :beagle:

also from reading through what you told me to read through I don't get the idea of what I am meant to be doing as it says to use the template letter to send for private but my tickets were from officers who work for the council themselves cheers

so wait for there reply of the breakdown for fees then go on to sending them the letter and await another reply, sorry to keep been a pain but does it make a difference that mine was a penalty charge notice and not a parking charge notice and that where is says to delete as appropriate all of them have to be deleted for me and would I need to be sending the letter when it says LETTER TO THE PARKING COMPANY OR PRIVATE APPEALS SERVICE

Re: bristow & sutor bailiffs - help needed

Let's do one step at a time. Send that letter and meanwhile follow the advice given in the link I gave you earlier about Parking Offences. That explains what to do.
