Hi I have a notice of distress warrant from collctica and I do not want to deal with any collection companies. I would rather pay direct to the court but it doesn't say what magistrates is ordering the fine all I have is a lot of reference numbers and a phone number and web address for the company. How do I find out what court is issuing the fine and how to pay them direct.
How to find put which magistrates is ordering the fine

Re: How to find put which magistrates is ordering the fine
If you can remember which court imposed the fine, ring the court and ask to be put through to the Fines Officer. If they are unhelpful, escalate to the Enforcement Section. If they, too, are unhelpful, escalate to the Senior Enforcement Manager for the region in which the magistrates court that imposed the fine is located.
Also, could you answer the following questions, please -
1. Do you know what this fine is for?
2. Did you receive a summons?
3. Did you attend court?
4. Were your means examined?
5. Were you aware of any court hearing or that the fine had been imposed?
6. Did you receive a letter called a Further Steps Notice (FSN)?
It is important that these questions are answered. If you knew nothing about any court hearing or fine, there are procedures to deal with this. If you did not receive a FSN, HMCTS are in breach of the law.Life is a journey on which we all travel, sometimes together, but never alone.
