The police coulndt show you his photo? they could look at you and see your not the person arrested and documented then your INNOCENT theres something amiss here you cannot be liable so why are you paying?

Indeed Wales, Tuttsi et al! Something very strange going on, especially as ID Fraud is taken so incredibly seriously now. Police normally go out of their way to avoid this sort of thing as it gives them such negative publicity.

OP - Whether or not they could show you his picture is irrelevant. They can look at it and see it isn't you. When my car was broken into, I was fingerprinted to rule out my prints as being genuine - do they not do this with ID theft? It is all rather bizarre.

Police couldn't Show me his photo, just went on holiday 3/4/2010 this guy was arrested on 10/04/2010 I came back from holiday on 24/04/2010 and I din't find out that My details were used until a few months later. That when I informed the police. I have to pay because all that time my name is never been cleared, now I have these hyenas knocking on my door

BTP should indicate the conviction was unsound and ask the court to reopen and quosh it, as for collectica their arrangment should be killed off

Has it not occurred to you to ask them to put this in writing? If they will do this, surely the problem is then solved - you have your prooof.

Then armed with the proof go to the court and ask to have the case reopened so it can be quoshed and expunged from your records.
