  • MARSTONS - Threatening LOCKSMITHS n POLICE

    Hi

Im new to this forum so i will keep it short and hopefully sweet. i Had £125 Magistrates fine which was takin from job seekers allowance. i changed benefit in october from my son being born till january which caused a default hence marsdens got involved. apparently they have a distress warrant for my old adress to remove goods. since which i have moved, since which they have contacted me threatening to bring bailiff and said lock smith / and or police man to my (old address) what are my rights.

this in the first place was passed onto marsdens from non fault of myself, also the fine they are asking for now apparently is 280 (plus bailiff fees) which is a hell of a lot more than the £125 original.

how can i get this back in court?

what are my rights on the doorstep?

can they use locksmith / policeman to enter?

    cheers

    lewis

What might they hope to do there? Do you own any goods or chattels at that address?

It would seem the buggers are up to their usual tricks.

How much of the original fine had been paid before the default?

Have you received a Further Steps Notice (FSN) prior to Marstons becoming involved? Did you inform the court you have moved?
