Luckily for me (and thanks to you people) im a bit wiser this time and wont be taking their cr*p!!
Remind the council that they are in control of the account at all times and can recall it anytime, further inform them they are wholly liable jointly and severally for B*stards & Sadist ignoring the national standards, and refusing to acknowledge vulnerability, tell them the LGO will be most interested in this What council is this?

Definitely The Mirror, CC. I can picture Eric Pickles (aka Jabba the Hutt) drenching Grant Shapps as he almost chokes on his bucket of tea after seeing something like that in the daily tabloids. You never know, it may even raise questions in the House.

I am sure you can work your magic and find photos of Eric Pickles and Jabba the Hutt, CC, and post them up side by side. As well as being similar in size, Pickles is equally as obnoxious as Jabba.

The caption underneath the photos could read something like -

            "Separated at Birth?"
            "Spot the Difference"

What would you get if you put Eric Pickles's feet in a hanging basket full of quick drying concrete? A Weeble!

                    Re: Bristow & Sutor

Just to update on this one. I have spoken with the council and I told them about the issues (past and previous) with Bristow and Sutor. I explained that I had been willing to set up an arrangement with them originally but that they were asking for ridiculous amounts given my circumstances. I told them that, given what I have learnt recently, I am no longer prepared to have any dealings with Bristow & Sutor as they are liars, bullies and they cannot be trusted to act fairly. I told them of a previous time when the bailiff visited my home, days after i had given birth and billed me £180.00 (5 times more than the remainder of the debt!!) for "visiting with a van" when I watched him, from my window getting into a car!! I told the council that I was more than happy to pay m council tax debts, but that i would be doing so directly to the council. The lady I spoke to seemed surprised at what i told her about B&S but she said they wouldnt refuse payments as long as it is regular and consistent. She said she was unsure as to whether the council would recall the account from B&S or whether B&S would get fed up first and just hand it back as unrecoverable. They can do what they like, they will get nowhere with me!!! Thank you everyone for your help and advice, verey helpful! x

                        Re: Bristow & Sutor

Exactly. The council arent much better than the bailiffs to be honest, as far as decent human morals go but half of the time, people are naive, just as I was, and believe everything the BSing bailiffs tell them and never report to the council about how the bailiffs behave. The lady at the council that I spoke to seemed genuinely shocked at some of the examples I gave her. B&S disgust me, I fell for all their BS last time and I could go back and shake myself for it!! Everything I said to the council, I intend to put in writing

                          Good.

You might also wish to print out and send them a copy of the attached file, which is a report from the Local Government Ombudsman (or woman).

Page 8 (and case study 10) contains a few comments about complaint handling.

If not already done have you asked B&S for a breakdown of previous accounts?
