Re: roxburgh debt collecters
If it were me I would still ignore. If you have time have a read of this http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...86-Parking-Eye . When they decide to invoke the Protection from freedoms Bill then have a good laugh as it does not apply in Scotland.
If you want my invoice for this is £50 if you want to pay it!!

Re: roxburgh debt collecters
Please be aware that they can take legal action although typically they lose if you defend it properly. We had a case last week where Parking Eye have issued proceedings and we have advised accordingly.
Having said that its unusual and its your choice. Our advice is to give 'em the finger rather than pay, but you need to be aware that there is an outside chance that they will follow it up.

Did they say what they might do if you did not pay up?

The OP resides in Scotland, so English Law does not necessarily apply. Where was the car park situated?

OPC and its directors got fined a total of £30,000 by a magistrates court over their faux parking tickets and the Upper Tribunal gave VCS a hard kick in the gonads over faux parking tickets.Life is a journey on which we all travel, sometimes together, but never alone.

Re: roxburgh debt collecters
That may be the case, but Kafka is right that it is a possibility, and if undefended, or poorly defended as was the situation with what I thought was the most recent case, the PCC would either get a default judgment or, as in a very recent case, lose.

Re: roxburgh debt collecters
Roxburghe may allege that you - or someone else - owes money but, until and unless their allegation was proved in court, their tale would be less substantial than a puff of Scotch mist.
Could you scan and post their silly "we may, you may" letter?
