  • mental health and bailiffs. think this is the right place for it

Are baillif's (possibly debt collectors though not entirely sure) required to be more sensitive with persons who have been diagnosed with mental health issues that they are aware of? secondly are they allowed to double the actual amount owed for whatever reason? i am aware they are not allowed to force entry etc but are they allowed to threaten arresting/taking of everything on the doorstep without any form of identification or documentation?

any help in this would be very much appreciated thank you

Yes, enforcement officers should treat vulnerable people differently. Have a read of this:

What is the debt for? If you can give us some history, we may be able to help more.

I have mental health issues and the bailiffs should treat you differently. Unfortunately in my case they did not but I with help here am standing up to them. This is a great place for help and support so stick with it.
