Good idea, please keep 'heated' discussions away from users threads, I shall be watching this and will step in if needed, so please will you all keep it a clean fight, come out of your corners and shake hands first.

I think the worries stem from the advice you are giving out that goes against everything others have learnt/ experienced.
also, when asked for back up to these statements, the subject is changed.

I have read you say to ignore all baillifs, surely this can only cause more hassle for the unwary poster who knows no better? could you let us know where this advice comes from?

What do you recommend? Leave them into your property or pay the ticket and fees?

                  Re: Bailiffs and warrants

i would recommend contacting the original creditor to see about arranging payment, or paying the original creditor directly.

Also in case of a court found fine, I would recommend speaking directly to the court regarding payment (many places have an automated payment line too) rather than dealing directly with a bailiff.

I would the recommend the person tell the bailiff to contact the person who has issued the distress notice and come away from the door.
