I would think OFT will take that into account if they decide to revoke Marstons' CCA Licence, Bill.

I am having and had problems with the stated baliffs. Anyone on befits being hounded by the baliffs should contact there local council. If you are on benefits baliffs can debit your benefits weekly but are only allowed to take no more than £2.50 per week from your benefits. I paid £100 per month until I was made aware an I was only on £75 benefits per week. Don't be intimidated by these baliffs. They can only gain access to your property and remove goods if they have a distress warrant direct from the courts. Do not open the door or let them in.They have no right of power without the necessary paperwork which takes months to obtain.

A Distress Warrant does not confer any right of entry to a bailiff. In fact, a bailiff has no right of entry at all, except through an open doorway or window and without having to push past someone in order to gain entry. Forcible entry is only permitted in specific circumstances. Where a bailiff acts contrary to the terms and conditions of a warrant, this can have serious consequences, not only for the bailiff and his employers, but the creditor, too, as the creditor is 100% vicariously-liable for the actions of a bailiff acting on their behalf through the legal instrument of agency and the bailiff's legal protection is linked to and dependent upon the bailiff's compliance with the terms and conditions of the warrant.

The only thing a Distress Warrant allows a bailiff to do is seize goods.
