    Re: Rundles Bailiffs!!!

    Let the Council tell Bungles and ask them for an explanation how it has come about...of course the reply will come back to the Council from Blundles 'we have done no wrong' and they will in turn believe them. But the bottom line is you are paying against a liability order and that leaves the Council diddly squat to take further action with. Bungles if you refuse to deal with them then have no option other than to return the order to the Council.

    Their fees we can sort out once you have a breakdown of them but if they have no levy then the most they can charge is £42.50 for 1st & 2nd

      Pepsie your a life saver!! sent the email today regarding breakdown of charges and am planning on going into the council today to tell them that I'm not going to deal with Bungles from today and that I have already paid off £200 to Rundles (with proof of course) and that I have paid a further amount of £40 today into the Councils online systems. Do you think that is a good idea??

        Definitely. Try and find out how much Rundles have actually handed over to Chichester Council. Also, make sure there is a fire extinguisher within easy reach because the council may explode if they realise Rundles have ripped them off as well as you.

          Personally I would write to the Council then you have a paper trail if needed at a later date. Online payments are a good move as it shows you are serious about settling the Liability Order and their is no question to you being a 'wont pay'. BB's advice is very good regarding finding our how much has been from the money Bundles have collected.

            I will write but i'm going to hand in one of the letters personally and receive a receipt for it. Wish me well guys because I dont think this is gonna be easy!! p.s. how do I stop them from taking my car? I'm a self employed window cleaner and require it to work with. Can they jump out of anywhere and slap a levy on it? Do they just have to see it or do they actually have to do something with the car first?

              If the car is registered with the insurance for business use and you are the only named driver then they can't touch it, they will need to see the car, before they can levy upon it then they SHOULD check that car is registered to you before any threat to remove it is made, I would be inclined to keep it parked under lock and key in a garage or at least 10mins walk away from your house, until you get a reply from the Council to say they have called Blundles back until your complaint is investigated. Do make sure you carry on making payments regularly to the Council...by the time this gets sorted the chances are the damned debt will be paid in full lol;

                  AAAHHHH going mad....
                  Refer to Office of Fair Trading guidelines on debt collection 2003. Do not make the payments using your credit/ debit card use someone else's with their permission of course!! The law you then quote is (first the reference above) then " It is a principle of law that if a third party tenders a sum of money to a creditor on behalf of a debtor the creditor MUST accept it". Job done.

                    Got Rundles to back off yesterday!!! Paid the lions share of the debt off and then was informed that they had levied on a my car and charged me a small fortune for the priviledge!! NOT!!! my car was hidden. No paperwork was received either pointing to a levy (Blunders bailiff "lost" original and was sure he posted copy!!!) complained like mad to Council citing vicarious responsibility and I now have way more time to pay off the remainder DIRECTLY to the council NOT Rundles!! Hang in there people and these MORONS will go away. Much love and thanks to all that have helped me. You are lifesavers!!!!
