BB ..Sherfarts ridiculous fees put a low profile debtor into a position of not seeing a way forward to making any inroad into their predicament.

Southern Water are a prime example..a debt of £600, which with a bit of careful management they could probably reach agreement with the debtor to repaying at an affordable rate but, they prefer to turn that into a debt 3-4 x that amount by giving the small debt to Sherfarts to make a huge profit from..and of course they then have to wait a lot longer to get the principle sum of the debt because Sherfarts only pay a small percentage of the money they get back by way of a 'repayment plan' to the Claimant as their fees are deducted first. A Stay was once the action taken by a solicitor instructed to act for a defendant... now thanks to sites like LB, people realise that other than slashing their wrists in despair they have other options and are applying to have a stay of execution and seek a sensible and reasonable way to get them back on track with a variation order.

As for being a fly on the wall when the stay hits the doormat it will without doubt incur a fee .....under Regulation 13 C12 Miscellaneous??
