Right, which of these are you 100% sure you have settled?

If you are unsure which are outstanding, phone the council again tomorrow and ask which are outstanding and how much is left owing on them.

I'm assuming they are all paid and that this thread relates to this year (2011). However, I learnt a while back not to make assumptions, so could you confirm this please. :beagle:

          Re: pheonix

OK, so three important things at the moment:

          1. Make sure the bailiffs do not gain entry to levy on anything or levy on a vehicle belonging to you outside.

          2. Continue to make regular weekly payments directly to the council using the online facility or automated telephone system. Make sure this payment is both affordable and sustainable.

          3. Await the reply of the Head of Revenues. If he backs the bailiffs, good; if he recalls the debt to the council and reduces fees to what they should be, even better.

Your CT Bill for that account will probably have something like this:

              Account No: Never changes
              Property Ref: Never changes
Reference No: Changes from year to year and it is this reference that identifies the Year/Account that any payments are allocated to.

He also lacks the obvious impediment of many council employees:

That's an excellent result, I'm really pleased for you. It just goes to show, yet again, what these thieving bailiffs try to get away with.

I particularly like the wording, 'as a goodwill gesture.' Probably more like a we really don't want to be sued gesture. You should write to the local press about this so others can be made aware of what their local council's enforcement agents are doing. Nothing defamatory obviously, but a factual piece about what happened. It could be an eye opener and an inspiration to others to do the same. Good publicity for LB too!

hi all, well here is the latest update.
my 3 other accounts ive had in the past with them came to light today, they were similar fees to my current ones.
they sent me the break downs last week and i copied them and posted them to the head of revenues, and recived a response from him today,to tell me that the fees would be returned to me,excluding 24.50 first visit.
So for the 4 phoenix accounts, they are paying me back a total of £446.56p.
Ive asked phoenix management to give me a reason for there generousity, and wait for there reply..
Got to thinking that i should let it rest now,but am also thinking by paying me back, they are admiting they are in the wrong,,,,,,,,,,,,what should i do?????????????
                                regards all......l
