  • Rossendales "campaign for change"

ITV Exposure programme goes under cover in the enforcement industry | Rossendales Bailiffs Blog | Campaign for Change

All of the comments are disgracefully moderated in favor of Rossendales which explains why there's too much backside licking on there and no critical comments = so much for them wanting to change then!

Yes the only ones that are left on there are ones that either can be distorted in order to support their argument or moe damagingly, ones that support the idea that these forums are full of wont pays.

      HI

The thought occured to me that perhaps rossendales are turning this expose to their advantage.
Whilst we are all going on about the actions of one bailif, there is little attentkion being given to the shortcommngs fof the whoe industry, the way it gets its tenders from local government , they way they flout the laws as a matter of routine, not just individually and even more importantyly the future of the industry regarding regulation.

I notice none of my questions regarding the above have been posted on their site.

Questions like; Who do you envisage regulating the industry, do you support self regulation or regulation by an independant body, i think they are doing an excellant job of using this to sidetrack attention from the real issues.

        Re: Rossendales "campaign for change"

We give advice like "Don't let bailiffs enter your house - lock the doors & windows", etc.

Yet a bailiff firm are campaigning for change in the regulations.

Just posted this question on their forum.
Wonder if it will be answered

Regarding the details of regulations, who do you see being the ideal regulator?
Also may i ask what your reaction is to the recent White paper issued by Lader, in which the practice of inflating the fees not defined by legislature in order to cover other costs is raised.

            Re: Rossendales "campaign for change"

OK no luck with that one so i have tried this.

This blog is supposed to be about change in the Bailiff industry.
So with that in mind, could you give some details of exactly what this change should be and how it will benefit all parties concerned?
Frankly the discussion so far has been to say the least uninspiring. So while we have this opportunity, please tell us how Rosendales see the future of the industry.
Who would be the regulator, what powers would the bailiff have that they do not have today, what new systems would be in place. How would you prevent the Mr Boasts amongst us attaining a position where they could abuse their powers, I do not want to criticise I just want to know.
Perhaps there is a code of practice somewhere that you could refer me to, either compiled or endorsed by the industry, something tangible that says , this is the ideal operating conditions for the bailiff industry, all I seem to hear is that you want to be regulated but there seems to be no details

I doubt that the unlovely Julie will allow that through.

Dont see why, that is what the thread purports to be about or perhaps it is just there to defuse the backlash from the TV show, i think that if we look at the posts that have actualy let onto the blogg the truth is evident.
