I wonder just how many of these recordings will mysteriously be deleted?

Marston Group (Marston) is pleased to announce the launch of a pilot programme in respect of new video badge recording technology, known as Body Worn Videos (BWVs), across the country.
BWVs have primarily been used by police officers and a small cross-section of other public service operatives until now. Users have obtained important benefits from the badges, including a reduction in disputed interactions.
The BWVs are now being trialled by a number of Marston's enforcement agents. It is hoped that BWVs will increase transparency for clients and customers, provide Health & Safety protections and capture independent evidence of agent/customer interactions, thereby reducing scope for complaints.
Agents participating in the pilot will receive comprehensive training in respect of BWV use, and will follow carefully designed protocols. All digital footage produced by BWVs will be encrypted and securely stored to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
A FAQ on the trial is available to view here.

      Yeah it would Lol

Only thing is, in their FAQ it states that

If the footage is not identified as being needed within 30 days, then it will be securely deleted in line with Data Protection Legislation.
So we'd have to get in quick with a SAR.

This, of course, is a typo.

It should read 'video badger' (ie using Skype to gain peaceable entry)

Right so they are going to come on to your private property and video tape you? Surely thats a breach of a person privacy rights, as well as a tort of trespass if they do not have a court order or your prior consent.

Indeed, but since when did those buggers respect other people's human rights?

So basically they have to inform people they are being recorded on video and audio. In otherwords, if you do not consent to being recorded they will have to turn it off.
