    Re: SAE to Phillips

Philips is typical of many bailiff organisations that as policy operate as scumbag companies, despite their operatives being 'fit persons' according to this country's judiciary!

Look up the company on the CCL Register. If the addresses on your documentation do not appear on their entry, scan them and forward them with a complaint of them being being deceitful to the OFT - they are in breach of their licence.

Philips don't like responding to SAR's as I have never heard of them complying within the 40 day limit (what scumbag company would!). So you can be fairly certain that you will have to follow the non-compliance procedure.

Have a look at your documentation. I suspect that it won't have the true company name, and won't have a 'trading as' qualification either.

I suggest sending it to the 'principle place of business' address on their consumer credit licence (no correspondence address is listed):
Telford House, Garden Street, Darlington, Co Durham, DL1 1QP
I would suggest that you do not send them a cheque from your account (don't trust them with your bank details). Using a cheque is great, as you can establish that they received the SAR when it clears, but use the account of a friend or relation (They can then do a witness statement that the cheque was made out to Philips and cleared their account on xx Month 2011, should you need to take formal action for non-compliance).

    Best of luck with this.
