Hi, i wonder if anyone can help!!!??
we had a Marston's Bailif at the door tonight collecting £535 for a Parking fine my wife got in 2007, the ticket was displayed at the time the notice was given and she sent all the details to the local Council complete with a photo of the car with the ticket in plain view with the fine on the screen too, they also had a photo with the same info on, she got no reply to this and this was before the court date of sept 07, another letter was rec'd and case suspended for 10 days, she then sent a photocopy of all the original info and then got another court date, she explained that she did NOT owe the money as she bought and CORRECTLY DISPLAYED the ticket in the widscreen as photographed, and she has heard nothing since then until she got a letter from Marston's. until recently, this all took place in 2007. we had to pay the £535 (well borrowed it from family), and he went away even though we showed him the parking ticket we still have and the letters and photo and the ticket bought at the time. after we had calmed down, we looked at the Distress warrant and noticed it is in my wife's MAIDEN NAME!! is this still a legal document, or does it have to be in her new married name? we have been married for just under a year. thank you, Ian
