The csa have got a liability order against my partner who lives with me. He did not contest this at court as the csa advised him not to attend as the court date was just a formality. The debt accrued even though an attachment of earnings has been in place for years . Then 2 years age my partner was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and as a result now only works 1 day per week. He tried to negotiate with the csa to clear the debt but they wanted 360.00 per month which we could not afford, hence to liability order! Sorry to ramble but bailiffs from the Marston group came yesterday and gave him a letter stating he has five days to clear the debt which we cannot do. I have never dealt with bailiffs and i am worried sick. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: liability order, HELP
Do you know how much is owed, or at least, how much the CSA belief is owed? If not you need to send a Subject Access Request and you can find one here Bailiff - SAR - Legal Beagles Consumer Forum all you need to do is edit it to suit.
You should also have a read of this guide Bailiff Guide - Legal Beagles Consumer Forum and understand that you do not have to (and you should not) allow the bailiff in to your property. This bailiff needs to be certificated and you need to check that he is and you will also find a link for this in the bailiff guide.
