    Re: Baliff Notification.

Are all your council tax payments up to date, as far you know?

It is always possible this is a mistake.

It's for a house i moved out of in October, Of which I though I was up to date....I literally thought all was ok, no nothing just Baliff letter, I want to pay it if i owe, but I don't want them calling around either.

I'm sure it is easily sorted out, just give the council a call tomorrow and see what they say.

There is no point worrying about it tonight.

You don't even know you owe anything yet, for crying out loud.

Call them tomorrow and speak to them about it.

                        Re: Bailiff Notification.

                        Hiya again guys,

Been looking into this, After this happend I called the council, and the Baliff (who said he wont be aroudn for a couple of weeks, I actualyl believed him!!!)

Anyway I've now spoken to the council guys again because they sent the baliff around again, To which my flat mate let him in.
I've put the baliffs on hld for 2 weeks now anyway, They want me to pay for a period in 2008 Plus now the Baliff fees of £78 something, Even though I can swear down I've never recieved a debt letter only Baliff one.... They said on the phone they sent me a "reminder" to my new address in April....I've been there since October and thats the first I've heard of it. He also said on the telephone that they don't have to proove i was there, or I've had the letter, They have been told this so that's all they need.

This period of my life, I was in between 3 places,
Working In Chester, so I was commuting between Anglesey (where im from) Chester and The Peak district where I moved to....

Now what do I do roll over and pay it all. My options are to try and proove I wasn't there or pay up and the payments are, Baliff and Fees in installments or Council in Full with the baliff fees, it's unfair this, because I would have paid it if i knew and got a dam letter to tell me I owe it.

Can somebody help me on this one? Any question i'll answer openly so don't be worried about asking anything

                        Cheers all.

If I find info from the electoral register does this count as soild evidance...not that I can atm it think this will cost ££ aswell, but would be worth it!!
