Charges - legal or not?

I have been charged two lots of £24.50 for two different bailiffs visiting my property on the same day but for different debts. Is this legal, or are they only allowed to charge one visit a day?

If illegal can anyone point me to the exact piece of legislation to quote please?

I didn't see anything in there about two different bailiffs for two different debts on the same day. I did see that they're not allowed to charge two visits in one day, but not this situation - may have missed it!:beagle:

Hmm, two bailiffs and two completely different debts. I wonder what that could mean?

.......I got it. It's two separate issues but with one common thread.....A Bailiff.

To answer the question the bailiff thread will tell you if they can make the charges. If it says yes, then the answer is yes.

I love the sarcasm! The reason I thought it might not be that straight forward was that it is one bailiff company dealing with both debts. This being the case I wondered if they would reasonably be expected to appoint one bailiff to oversee both debts, thus only making one charge rather than two.

Clearly the charges are legal, though sadly I still think they should try to appoint one bailiff to deal with multiple debts for one customer to reduce the charges.
