  • JBW and unfair charges

Please Help! I had several PCN from congestion charging and I called the enforcement agent JBW, who was dealing with it and informed them that I could not pay for them all at once. At the time I was 28 weeks pregnant and had to send them proof of this which I did and they accepted via email. This all happened last Nov, I made a couple of good will payments prior to starting the plan and paid on time in Dec and Jan approx 3 tickets. Low and behold when I was 38 weeks pregnant a bailiff came and posted a letter through my door. I phoned JBW and informed them that I was a on a payment plan etc and I don't know what was going on. They asked me to wait to be contacted etc and so I did. The next day I look outside and they had clamped my car. The Bailiff then informed me that I had new tickets and there is no payment Plan on the account, so I phoned JBW again and they said I broke the term but I am ADAMANT this was not true and I can prove this. The girl on the phone was very rude and said I had to deal with the bailiff from now on and they can't help me. I showed the initial agreement sent by JBW via email to the bailiff and he basically dismissed it and added extra charges. This had caused me a lot of distress and I believe subsequently gave birth early because of it. I have now paid all and a lot of monies to JBW which I believe some were complete unfair considering I was not hiding and had kept in touch with them. I would like to know how I can get the extra monies they levied on the PCN that was supposedly on a pay plan agreement. So please if anyone has any ideas please help!

I realise you have already paid this parking fine, but this guide might provide some useful pointers for you Parking Fine Guide - Legal Beagles Consumer Forum

Also, within that guide, you will find a link to a Subject Access Request. You should send this off to the bailiffs and this will ascertain what fee were added and why.
