  • They have taken my car , what can i do now!

Today a bailiff turned and clamped my car and claimed they were taking it away unless i paid £602.71
This is £202.27 PCN + £113.75 visit fee + £220 attendance to remove + £66.74 VAT on enforcement costs.

All this aside it is for a PCN I have never recieved any correspondence on dated Dec 2009.

I looked into getting the money as well as putting in Statutory declaration out of time to get the bailiff action stopped until investigated.
By 2pm they had taken the car which I have been told will incurr further costs.
The statutory declaration has been processed and sent to TFL but they had already taken the car by then.

I don't have the money and spent most of the day trying to beg and borrow at a time of year when no ones has oodles sitting around.
Will they return my car if the Statutory declaration has been filed or will i have to pay and try to get the money back f my claim is upheld?

    Welcome to Legal Beagles

Have a read of our Bailiff Guide http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...ad.php?t=14113

It may well be the bailiff has overcharged you and should have given you a chance to pay.

By filing by the Statutory Declaration you have ensured that your vehicle cannot be sold and that you will not incur storage charges for it. Although to be absolutely sure, I would check that TFL have made the bailiffs aware that you have filed this.

Have you never received any paperwork for this PCN?

Once the vehicle was clamped, how long was it before it was towed?
