  • Equita Issues

Hi i have an outstanding debt of this years council tax bill and phoned equita and agreed to pay a silly amount that i knew id default on but they wouldnt accept less.

Then once defaulted i got a couple of letters with bailiffs tel number and couldnt rearrange payment

Since this ive had one hand written letter almost identical to the one scanned on here it came today !!

It mentions entering my home and am now paranoid and work all day and im thinking of removing all valuable items out ?

I want to pay it off in a realistic way but dont know how to pay council direct as ive heard is best way ???? hellllp

Have a read here and most importantly keep the bailiff out of your home Bailiff Guide - Legal Beagles Consumer Forum

How much in actual council tax do you owe and how much do Equita say you owe? You should pay what you can as soon as you can to the council direct.
