    Re: can you help

Bailiffs are under no obligation to accept any money you offer, unless it is the rightful payment. saying that; it is still worth making an offer and backing that up with a statement of finances which shows that the amount offered is all you can afford. You could also apply to a court to have the bailiffs 'court order' to be suspended, this can be effective if your financial circumstances mean paying the debt would leave you in financial hardship.

    Good luck.
Borrow money from a pessimist -- they don't expect it back.

Your post is vaguer than something that is really vague.

      What is this debt for?

        Re: can you help

We probably can help, but let us know what the debt is for? How big is it? Has it been through the courts? Council Tax? Something else? How much did you offer? How did you offer it - in writing with an income / expenditure breakdown, or a figure put on paper, via telephone, to them at your house verbally?

All these things are relevant, so if you could give us as much detail as possible, we''ll do our best to help!
