  • Bailiffs have taken my car HELP!!!

Hi I'm hoping for some advice.
Bailiffs from Davies enforcement have been putting letters through my door regarding an unpaid PCN I have been disputing with Wandsworth Council.

I was traveling for a few weeks, during this time they came round twice with notice prior to removal of goods letter with fees they materialize apparently out of thin air amounting to £746.

I got back from Spain today at 5am, I was leaving my house at 530pm to go to work when I saw they'd put another letter through my letterbox, they never knocked or rang the doorbell, saying they'd basically removed my car (they towed it while I was upstairs, I was in all day) and demanding £878.51, of course by the time I rang their offices were closed so the car will have to remain in the pound over the weekend and incur further fees, the car is worth £3000.

Is any of this legal? Contestable? Are the fees reasonable? Can anyone please help with advice?

I need my car to get to work and I'm broke, I had to cancel my work for today.

    Thanks in advance

Sorry to hear of your troubles with your car. Please have a read of our Bailiff guide http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...splay.php?f=76 to see if you can gain any help from that. Many times the bailiffs overcharge and do things unlawfully, so have a good read and post up any further questions.
