  • Davies Enforcement - Parking Fine

    Hello All

Just need a quick bit of advice if I may, my wife has been in dispute with Wandsworth Council over a parking fine, however it has now gone to the bailiff.

We had not received a single letter and the only time we knew that it went to bailiff was when he had put a notice to remove goods through our door on the 17/08/10. The charges at that time were £393.77, however he has since returned some 8 days later (still on holiday) and the charges are now £631.13. Our son did make contact with us and we did speak to the office at Davies to explain. We have also contacted the bailiff direct while on holiday, he never returned our calls.

To me his 2nd vist is far to quick and seems rather on the large side.

Are they aloud to come and do this again this quick? It dont sound reasonble to me.

I would be grateful for any advice on what to do here.

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work

Do you mean you have not received any letters from the bailiff? If it was in dispute with the council, what did you receive from them and why are you disputing the fine?

She disputed the fine as she was unloading in the the loading bay, she had a letter from her compnay to say she was unloading.

The council dismissed our dispute, they have sent it to the bailiff, but we never received a letter, and only have had the notice put through the door.

I understand that the bailiff's never send out letters as they then can start charging large amounts of money.
