Got a parking ticket 6 months ago from south lakeland council whilst unloading tools and goods to a job. fair enough. i later thought id dispute this as i was only unloading for 15mins which the ticket stated, and maybe the council would show some leeway. but no because i didnt write on a piece of paper and display the ticket still stould. then before i had time to reply the dept was passed to that lovely company equita who are now threanening to take my £10.000 van to pay this fine which now stands at £339.00 (bring it on.) furthermore which bright spark gave a bunch of gippos the right to break into your home and take goods FOR A PARKING TICKET!!!! but if i dont pay my council tax they can do zip. please tell me im not the only madman in this saine world. AAGGGGHHHHH.

They cannot break in, so don't worry about that. They also cannot, or rather should not, take your van as it is needed for work and is exempt. See below:

(i) such tools, books, vehicles and other items of equipment as are necessary to that person for use personally by him in his employment, business or vocation;

(ii) such clothing, bedding, furniture, household equipment and provisions as are necessary for satisfying the basic domestic needs of that person and his family;
