  • Worried

There was a parking issue and the council warden put a ticket on my car. The blue badge was on show,I called to her but she went into the bus park and I couldn't folloow. I went to the council explained it and it was left with them. Then they said the clock was upside or not in right and I said I wanted to go to court and expected to do so.
Now 2 years later a bailiff's letter arrived saying they had a warrant and were coming in a van to seize my goods. Can they force their way in. About 3 years ago I won a case against a builder who did not do the job right. the county court awarded me £4000 but the court bailiffs said if the builder did not let them in they could not get my money and never did. Why can this private bailiff do it please. The Bailiff's firm are Newlyn

    They cannot break in.

Are you certain this bailiff letter relates to the incident 2 years ago? If it is, you need to ask for proof of their authority to collect on this. Do this in writing only. You should also write to the council and find out when they passed this over to the bailiff for collection.
