  • More help with JBW Group

    Hello,

Hope you can help, my son who has not lived with us for over two years.

Has a problem with a parking fine, however the vehicle is still registered to him at my address.

Bailiffs from JBW Group today called to possess goods and chattels from my property.

    Two questions please.

1.) Do they have the right to do so.

2.) Can they enter my property, and are they entitled to just park on my driveway, when there is ample road parking available.

Ironically there vehicle had a broken number plate nothing to do with my problem, but I found it amusing. In an otherwise intimidating situation.

    Your help and advice appreciated.

Re: More help with JBW Group

A bailiff can only levy on goods belonging to the debtor, which is not you - so the answer to 1. is, no.

They would only need to enter your property to levy on goods, but as above, you are not the debtor, so again the answer is, no.

      Hi Amy,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I did believe that to be the case but nice to have confirmation.

      Once again thanks.

      Regards

      Kirkup
