  • Help with PCN

    Hi all,

My first post after being reffered here

Basically, last week i parked my car in a parking bay, purchased a ticket to last an hour, was gone from car at the most 20 minutes, came back to find a ticket on my car.

What had happened was at the other end of the parking bays there was a sign saying something along the lines of Do Not Park, Parking Bays Not In Use, obvioulsy i never saw the sign was told about it when i came home by a family member who saw it days before.

Anyway, the sign was taken down the following day.

I appealed the ticket, (haven't got a reply yet) but wondered where i stand with regards to the PCN.

    Thanks

Is it a genuine PCN from your local council? Were you parked in a council maintained car park?

      Hi,

It is genuine and issued by the council, it is just parking bays outside some shops.

      Thanks

have had to appeal similar stuff to council before and found them to be OK, keep an eye on the time-scales and use RD for posting and I don't think you will have a problem.

am sure others may know more than me thou.

          Thanks mate,

All my appeals have been done online, i might ask them for pictures of the sign if they say i have to pay, as they took pics of my car with ticket in wondow but not of the sign stating the bays aren't in use

This is the exactl same question i asked in the appeal, or why wasn't there a notice on the machine.
