  • JBW Group-parking fines

hi, I don't know if anyone can help.
My partner has recieved 2 letters about two separate parking fines from JBW Group stating immediate payment required as further action will be done. He rang them up yesterday to see from when as we recently haven't had any parking fines. It seems they are from well over a year ago when we had a courtesy car. We thought we had payed them as it was a courtesy car and didnt want anything to come back to us. We have tried to get through to Maidstone borough council but no joy as there phone lines are down. When he rang yesterday they said we had 24 hours to pay as the bailiffs are coming today. We have not had any correspondance from either the bailiffs or the council about these parking fines till this. I really don't know what to do as we can't afford to pay as altogether it comes to around £500. Nearly everything of value was brought by me as my partner don't work for medical reasons but I have no proof of this as I paid for them by cash.
Sorry if i have missed anything you need to know
    Thanx Lydia

Can you find out for certain if you have paid them perhaps by checking your bank statements? If you paid these online, do you still have the payment confirmation anywhere?

The best thing would be if you can track down proof that you have already paid these fines, but if you can't then we can go another route, but have a check first.
