You need to send a DPA non compliance letter advising them of their obligation to provide the requested information.

Template letters can be found HERE. There are 2 options available (Posts 3 & 4)depending on whether you wish to force compliance through the courts or complain to the ICO

Re: Help - what shall i do now

I finally recieved all the paperwork from Rundells. They have charged me £90 removals and £52 Levy. At no time did i let them enter my house. We spoke on the phone and he asked me what items i had a home. I presume this is what he calls a levy.

So i am asking if he does not come to my house with a van. i told him on the phone i would never let him in my house and never did at any point, can he still levy and charge me money for this.

They also charge me £1.25 everytime i make a debit card payment.

Why don't you start at the beginning and tell us what kind of debt Rundells were attempting to collect and what led you to make a Subject Access Request.

Council tax of approx £800. They sent me a couple of letters then came knocking at my door. I never answered but later i called the mobile number on the letter. He was very rude and kept saying that he needed to come around to my house and see what stuff i had. I refused saying i had two young girls and a very big dog that i found hard to control. He asked what i had indoors and i told him a tv, sofa etc.
Anyway made a few payments then searched the net and thought maybe they are adding all sorts of charges to my account. Sent off the SAR and find out that they have charged me £90 for a removal, £50 for Levy and for every payment i make online to them they charge me £1.15. I have not made a payment since i started to question the charges but will have to as they hassling me again.

Thanks for the reponse - it really does help.

If I were you I would pay payments directly to the council, they cannot refuse to accept them. Amy will be along later to advise further. Do you know how much the actual council tax arrears stands at now, not including any charges added by the bailiffs?

Re: Help - what shall i do now

I would do as Wendy suggests and pay the council direct. Do not wait for their permission because all they will do is fob you off and say that there is nothing they can do now it is with the bailiffs.

With regard to the charges and specifically the fee they charge you for paying online - I think you will find the following threads interesting:

                  ok thanks for that.

I still need to know if they can charge me a Levy based on a telephone call and for a van to remove my goods.

                  Thanks

Re: Help - what shall i do now

                    Taken from the bailiff guide:

In order for a walking possession order to be valid, a bailiff must have gained peaceful entry to the property in order to seize the goods. It is not enough for a bailiff to list items that they have seen through a window and push a walking possession order through the letterbox for you to sign and return. Under no circumstances should you sign anything a bailiff pushes through your letterbox.
