    chasing a debt unpaid

    Hello
    can u tell me how long a bailiff can leave a debt uncollected ? i.e. if u haven't heard anything for a year can u assume its closed ?
    I'm guessing not as the charges relate to unpaid parking fees but am curious to know.

    The debt must be collected in full in 180 days.

      so 365 days being a year on average, is over their time to collect ?
