  • certified baliff??

    Hi,
    could someone please inform me whether the individual balliff needs a certificate for a walking possession or they are able to act on behalf of a company.
    I've got a notice from a J Allen on behalf of Marstons Group ltd but can't find him/her on the register

      I've looked enaid but can't tell if the person as to be certified or if he can act on behalf of the company thats certified sorry (i'm not that bright)

        It is the actual Bailiff, regardless of who employs him.
        He has to be certified, rather like Bouncers have to be these days.

          If he were mad he would be certified, if he needs a certificate to operate then he is certificated.

          It depends what the debt is for as to whether the bailiff should be certificated, but a bailiff must be certificated for a walking possession to be valid.
