Re: JBW Group Bailiffs and Parking Fine

As I said, it will not be plain sailing, but I still think you will gain respect for posting unbiased fact.

Amy above is the single most knowledgeable person I know regarding bailiffs. She is held, rightly, in very high esteem on this site for her knowledge in this area.

As is sadly the norm, people come here when they have problems, so we see that side of things. My own experience, which was not posted on this site at the time, and the experience of many others I have helped, bears out the fact that many in your job are either poorly trained, lacking knowledge, liars or possibly a combination of the above. My point was it is good to have someone who seems to have a more balanced view.

Amy - you are right - I was thinking of Bailiffchaser who was a self proclaimed specialist in dealing with bailiffs. The fundamental prinicples remain the same though.

I feel I need to appologise to Exbailiff31 as after reading amy's post above it just dawned on me that I ASSUMED that you are in fact a Ex Bailiff, and I have nothing other than your username to base that on

So I appologise for making that assumption
      and
I thank Amy for making me realise that

      Thank you Amy

        Gorang and Amy,

Your assumptions are indeed correct I was a serving Bailiff for 11years and I worked all over the country I have seen the good the bad and the danm right ugly (Bailiff attitudes) there is no need in my view for a Bailiff to behave in this manner I never did as we are all people with thoughts and feelings who perhaps have fallen on hard times or who maybe have been very confused as to what to do in a situation due to legislation being written in a way that unless you've had training you have not got a clue what it really says let alone understand it!
I left the industry 2yrs ago amid mounting pressure to claim fees and I felt that it wasn't right to do some of the things being asked of me and so now I would like to offer any advice I can to help those in trouble or put some fears and myths to "bed"
I would like to add that there are some very ethical and professional Bailiffs out there doing a very hard job sadly let down by a large number who abuse their power.

Would it be possible for you to say for which firm(s) you worked and whether you resigned or were sacked for not charging excessively?

In the intrest of fairness to all parties I don't think it would be appropriate for me to name the firms that i've worked for but I have comprehensive working knowledge of many of the firms listed at the top and some that are not, and I chose to leave the industry for several reasons.

Thank you very much for providing us with that personal info about yourself

              and in my opinion
In the intrest of fairness to all parties I don't think it would be appropriate for me to name the firms that i've worked for
you are absolutley RIGHT as it makes no difference who you worked for

and I for one back you 100% for saying that

IMHO the only thing that makes a difference is the fact you are here now helping others, clearing up some of the myths and wrongs of the industry, which form me is very much appreciated, as good, accurate, truthfull and honest help IS very hard to find

I hope that you continue the good work on the forum

and I appologise if I have cause this thread to seem as an interigation to you

Again appologies to Tonyo for hijacking your thread

Hi I am new here and I have registered because I need help!

I have just listened to my voice messages and I had one from JWB Group Bailiffs and in the message a woman is telling me not to ignore the message as they are going to be sending bailiffs round to seize my property. It doesn't say WHY they are doing this and I have had absolutely NOTHING in the post nor do I have any debts, or parking fines, nothing at all. I am now constantly looking out of my window worried that my car is going to be towed away as it is my absolutely lifeline to transport my disabled child around. The car is all bought and paid for by the way and as I said I have no outstanding loans or debts or parking fines or anything so why on earth have I received this very distressing message and what should I do about it?

Your help would be much appreciated!

Does the vehicle have a tax disc showing Disabled in the Tax Class section? If this is the case, the car is classed as an Invalid Carriage and JBW can go whistle if they even think of trying to seize the vehicle. Invalid Carriages are exempt from seizure.
