  • Any Advice Please

    Hi
    After any advice please.
My Son had an attachment of earnings, the company he worked for at the time deducted £368.10 off a £409 fine owed to the courts.
My son left that company and then received a letter from the courts stating he still owed £409.
He contacted said company and in-between waiting for them to get back to him, this has now been passed to Marstons.
He eventually spoke to HR who said they forgot to pay the money deducted from his wage and sent a BACS payment to the court the same day.
My son contacted Marstons as not sure if this would be recalled to the courts ( tried contacting courts no one answers) Marstons said nothing had come through to them. He rang Marstons at a later date allowing time for payment to clear. No advisors available and requested a call back. .missed the call back as in work. No further correspondence from Marstons stating the correct overdue amount of £40.90 (plus whatever charges added)
Came home yesterday to a letter stuck in front door. He contacted the Enforcement Agent who did not want to know when trying to explain.
He is going to try the court again this morning and Marstons office.
Any advice welcome, he lives with his his parents.
Do Marstons have a time limit to return after they have hand delivered this letter .
He needs to speak to the Courts, also the letter is now for £350 for a £40.90 missed payment as stated above his company failed to make payments to the court from his deducted wage.

    Thanks

    Hi AVALONE

    Welcome to LB

Email a formal complaint with Marstons, explain that your son has tried contacting them on many occasions to no 'avail', no one picking up the phone.
The matter has escalated because of their failure to communicate.

Update the thread with their response.
