  • Marston Recovery Direct Debit

In October I set up a DD for a payment plan that I made with Marston Recovery. In November this payment was taken with no issues. I have received a letter this month that I hadn't made a payment.
I have today called them and they said they have tried to take it out of my bank on 2 occasions. One dated after the letter stating I have failed and now owe all the money.... However... there is nothing absolutely no attempt on my bank account to take this money.
The office is saying there is nothing they can do it has already gone to the enforcement officer for removal of goods...

Initially I refused a DD so I knew the payments where being met, they talked me into it and feel like they've now failed it on purpose! I'm terrified I'm going to get a bailiff at my door over Christmas.

Can anyone offer any advice please.

    Hi ROGUEPANA

A bit of info on bailiffs -

    https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/de...re-vulnerable/

Write a Formal Letter of Complaint, mark it as such. If you're in the 'vulnerable' group tell them.
Email it to them, follow up with a phone call to make sure they have received it.

Sorry more questions before answers I'm afraid.

Do the original creditor have a county court judgement against you?

Yes they do, it's for council tax. Basically I was already paying back a few years council tax in a payment order which meant come April I couldn't afford to pay until the last payment order finished in August, so this years council tax defaulted and the whole thing started again with a new payment order.
