  • Bailiffs Came twice After I had paid

    Hi,

So last year I had missed payments for a fine. Balliffs had attended and I had paid this fine off. I then had balliffs at the door again with there harassment asking for the same payment again. After one hour they realised I had paid and left. Then they had the cheek to come one more time. They came at around 8/9am and knocked on literally EVERY single door in my flats as they weren’t sure on flat number. They embarrassed and harassed me basically. This time they wouldn’t leave for ages and even had the cheek to keep being rude with no professionalism.

they have offered me my £325 and £425 on top as compensation but I’m sure this sort of harassment would be able to taken further or is that a offer I should take?

    thank you

Whether you take it or not is your choice. These kinds of cases are difficult to quantify but I think what's being offer seems reasonable in the circumstances based on two visits but context is everything, and you will need to go to court and not only prove harassment but argue a higher amount of money which is never guaranteed.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
