    Re: B (Children) [2014] EWCA Civ 1623 (18 December 2014)

Its this part of the judges reasoning that jumped out at me

    1. There was also a social services report which greatly exaggerated the alleged failings of the father. It said, for example, that he had made over 200 phone calls to the mother, that he was abusing alcohol and drugs, and that he was violent. There was no evidential basis for these allegations. The mother denied making them to the local authority. I find it a matter of real concern that an inaccurate report of this kind should have seen the light of day and was possibly the reason why the guardian was unhappy for contact to be continued. It suggests that either the mother had misrepresented matters to the local authority, contrary to her evidence to the judge, or that the social workers were exaggerating for some inexplicable reason or were profoundly mistaken. The judge made it clear that these matters were not established and said as much in the schedule. Plainly these matters must be entirely ignored in any determination of the father's rights in the future.

Its clear that the farther was a bad person, and the worry for me is, why dont the SS seem to realise that when they make up or over egg statments, they risk having valid cases thrown out.

And its sutch a shame that we seem to be in the position that judges dont entryly trust reports just from the SS. Lots of good social workers are haveing there jobs made harder and harder, becuase a few SS department think they should be judges, but bvecuase they are not, they do everything they can to influence the judges by over egging or just making up the reports.
crazy council ( as in local council,NELC ) as a member of the public, i don't get mad, i get even

CC, my experience of social workers are that they make things up, exaggerate the truth and then claim you are the problem. When you ask them to be specific you find out that their report is actually completely and utterly made up. I should read the case above
