Larby v. thurgood 1993 but cannot really find a good reference at the minute.
        ------------------------------- merged -------------------------------
"In Larby v Thurgood [1992] The Times, 27 October, the defendant applied to stay the plaintiff's action until he had agreed to see an employment consultation. The application failed. The judge held that questions relating to the plaintiff's motivation in relation to work were for the trial judge and not for the employment consultant. Although it might be useful for a judge to have evidence from a consultant about conditions in the local labour market, he, the consultant, did not need an interview with the plaintiff for that purpose. In any event, an expert's views about the motivation of the plaintiff would not be admissible in evidence."

I found the same - general references, but no meat on the bone.
Will give your link a try, Nattie.
