Hi my partner and I signed papers in September for a car. We fell behind with 1 payment and CLS have repossessed the car this morning even though my partner spoke to someone from there office saying that a payment on Friday to catch up then nd payment due on this Tuesday which would be paid. But sheriff officers came to door today repossed car told me I now need to pay a ridiculous amount to get the car back. Can someone please help me I'm new here

    Hi there

    Welcome to LB,

So what did you sign up to? Was it a hire-purchase agreement? Do you have a copy of the agreement and if so can you post it up with personal details removed.

Have you received a Default notice from the creditor ? did you make payment in the time specified in the notice? assuming you received a Default notice of course.

There procedures a creditor must follow so its important that we have as much info as you can provide

Also, was the car taken from private property? was it on your drive when it was taken?
