Just to thank everyone who helped me over the months.

For recap my previous employer took me to court for an overpayment of wages.

They discontinued which I am happy about. If it wasn't for this group I may have been intimidated by the court action and agreed to something I shouldn't have.

The letter doesn't say why they discontinued but am I safe to say that is matter closed and they will now go away?

    Ivan.

It is probable that they will now go away, but not absolutely certain. CPR 38.7 applies to any subsequent action, which may need permission of the court: https://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/pr...es/part38#38.7
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

My cousin thinks they might try to report me to the police instead but I don't know

For now I'm glad it's finished
