Hi guys try a short story but I parked at pub car park put my money in the machine £3 typed my Reg in ticket came out put in my car went my business month later had a fine come through to say not *purchased a ticket looked at my ticket and the machine had typed the 10 of my Reg but still showed I paid but missed printed the rest try an put a pic up but now they’re taking me to court for a ticket I have for £237 for a few missed letters u would think a bit of common sense at Britannia Do u think I should fight it in court if it goes ahead*

So do they know who was driving, yes or no?* If no then edit so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred*
What other paperwork has been exchanged?* From your description the PCN was too late to be able to hold the keeper liable*
A redacted Notice to Keeper would help, but leave dates

It does make you wonder whether these systems are actually fit for purpose. After all most vending machines will only give you something if you enter the correct details otherwise they tell you to do one. After all would you really get £50 out of the cash machine if you input just 2 numbers or would you get a coffee or a mars bar if you did the same. It is about time vendors like this were brought to book for systems which when they fail penalise the purchaser who has believed they have entered the correct info, seeing as it produced a ticket for a non-existent number would they reimburse you if you noticed and had to buy another - no I thought not.
