Re: lost my job
no my son has worked for this company for 5 years.
short version
Booked holidays in Jan 2017 for a few days for a wedding
booked the flights in Jan after the ok was given
came to august to go on holiday
said see you when i get back
boss said he hadn't booked the time off
late afternoon was asked if he was still going on Holiday.
He said he was. was told to go now and don't come back.
when he came back went found another job.
his wages was not paid into the bank by old employer.
The old employer is now claiming he never fired my son.

Re: lost my job
Unfortunately no. my son would have never booked holidays in Jan for august with out permission.
He does have a witness but they do not want to get involved because a year or two ago another employee stuck up for another employee who they were trying to get rid off after he stood as witness to what had happened. they made his life a nightmare so he ended up leaving.
No because he told to go and don't come back.
Acas i agreed it is a verbal dismissal and said it sounds like his employer is back tracking because he has not followed the correct dismissal procedure.
My so does not want to take this company to work he just want his wages he is owed.
now thy are saying they are taking money out of what he is owed for what it has cost the company for his unapproved absence.
