  • Debt advice - is my live in vehicle a protected asset/ home?

    Hello there,

So for the last 5 years I have been living in the back of my van - in real terms insolvent but lacking the fee's to declare it. Scary part is the matter of if my van is an asset or my home ? Any help much appreciated

Having re-read your previous posts presumably this is concerning your application for DRO and the value of your van.

I know you value your vehicle at approx£2000, but have you had that confirmed by (a) dealer(s)?
Wouldn't the value would be what you could obtain by selling into the trade, not what you would have to pay to replace it?

Speak to Christians against poverty. There are charitable funds which can be accessed to allow a person to become insolvent. The value of an asset is what it will raise in a sale. SpeaKids to dealer ask what they would give cash for it.
