Need some advice please about emails received from a debt collection solicitors.
I recently requested a debt collection agency not to send letters but to correspond by email. I received a response that I had to provide the following information Full name, Address and post code, Date of birth and an explicit consent to communicate with me via emails.
I have responded and have made it very clear that I want email communication only and they already have most of this information apart from date of birth. But they still won’t correspond via email as this email account is not verified. Allthough strangely they did send all my previous emails to me with a lot of information about a court case and a bank account number.
Two questions really. Why would they need explicit consent? Why would they send this information to me if they feel that this email address is not verified?
