Hi. Understand your problem. These rogues have been bothering me also. Don't fill any forms. Don't speak to them tell them you will correspond only by letter. I suggest if you do correspond send letters signature service - I have discovered that one of their usual tactics is to pretend they haven't heard from you. Shoosmiths do the same. There is excellent information elsewhere on the site but a good starting point is to ask them to produce the original credit agreement for this debt as required by the consumer credit act. They may not be able to do this. That could even stop them. I wish you good luck. These people should be stopped from these tactics.

Hi dark sky (& Chrisda), welcome to LB.

If you have had a CCJ (it sounds like a default judgment in favour of the Claimant) & you are struggling to pay, you can apply to the court to come to a reasonable payment plan. If it were me I'd do that rather than try & deal with the Claimant/Judgment Creditor.
If you are on a reduced income you might also qualify for fee remission.
Do you have a local CAB?

Hi thank you both for you input.
I yr t does not seem as if they have done things fairly I feel
Received their (MC) dated the thursday 8th June saying they have not heard from me and have accordingly requested that the court grants judgment in default when we spoke to them yesterday (tuesday 13 June) they stated that the ccj was already in place along with a lien against our property - we are also in a situation where we have to reapply for mortgage / bridge loan extension later this year which will have major bearing on anything like that.
Do I ask Cabot to produce proof of debt
Tried cab some time ago- just suggested debt help- ended up with Bankruptcy advisory service (BAS) To whom I had to pay around £800 direct bank tranfers before she would progress into sending each of our 7/8 creditors of situation and offer nominal ( small) payments- over the 5-6 years since these debts have been sold onto others again and again and her we are still now going into a potentially catastrophic stage where it is / will bear moreso on marriage and ending in repossession homelessness is there any way I maybe able to have this ccj set aside due or would it still show on credit when we try to re- mortgage or extend the term of bridging loan.
