  • Reston/Arrow court proceedings

Hello ,I'll try to keep this short as possible!recieved a letter from Reston solicitors on behalf of Arrow saying they have been instructed to issue court proceedings on a £5000 balanace on a HSBC loan )was originally 14,000) This loan was originally taken out in 2005 I then re financed the loan maybe a year or so later to reduce the payments from around 350 to 180 a month. I remember due to financial difficulties I stopped making payments in 2009 maybe 2010,as it was the year I had to move out of my parents. It's been passed around many debt collectors since but it'd all gone quiet until today. am I right in thinking this debt should be statute barred? I'm 99.9 percent I haven't made a payment for well over 6 years. The strange thing is on one credit score website it says the default date is 2013?? Which is nonsense. Should my next step be to ask for a CCA? Or a SAF from HSBC? I'll be surprised if they still have the signed CCA ,Sorry for so many questions, I'm really stuck on my next step. Thanks in advance
