  • Completing form N5B

    Hi All !
I am about to complete form N5B ( Possession of property). As a joint claimant I can see that it requires both names. My question is this, On the original, and only, tenancy agreement there is my name and my partner's name. My partner and I were not married at that time so her surname is different. We are married now so what surname should she use ?
    Thanks for the help.

    Re: Completing form N5B

The changing of a name doesn't absolve your wife or any rights or liabilities so I don't think it matters not whether you put in her married name or maiden name. For clarity though if the name of the agreement is in her maiden name you could use that on the application so there is no confusion.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
