  • Few Questions...

    Morning everyone,

    First post here.

Not checked my credit report in a while and used checkmyfile and its only 1/5...

    Now...

I'm NOT on the electoral roll, I have however just registered. Does this make a big difference?

I have a default from when I lost my job 4years ago, I've tried to discuss with the debt collection agency about clearing it for a reduced amount cos I can clear it in full, but they're not too helpful. It's 1st credit, they bought it from my bank HSBC. Is there anything I can do to make It appear most pleasant? I am paying an amount each month. IF I did clear it in full, I understand the default is still on my credit file until the 6 year period is up, could I negotiate and tell them I will clear it in full but only if they fully remove the default from my file..?

I have an Audi A5 on finance, had it 20 months now not missed a payment so don't think that will affect me.
I did have a BMW M4 but wrote it off 6 weeks ago, then finance has been cleared in full by the insurers but on checkmyfile it's still showing as 6,000 owing to that loan which I can't understand as the amount owed before I wrote it off was 40,000 as I'd only had it for around 5 months.

Can't quite understand why it's so bad but there the issues I have...

    Any suggestions please.

    Thanks
